Happy February!
Here are a few Ideas to get you motivated to find and inexpencive or free Valentine’s Day activity.
- Make dinner together. Enjoy trying a new flavour. This could be as grand as attempting a Soufflé or as simple as Mac and Cheese with a little smoked salmon added.
2. A Walk in one of the local Parks and then Home for a prechosen Movie or two. With Popcorn and snacks. By Prechoosing we eliminate the petty, needless arguments and hurt feelings.
3. If you have access to a fire pit or outdoor fireplace. Yes, even in winter, build that fire, roast some marshmallows, and put on some Hot chocolate with whipped cream!
4. Game night. Make it playful with the kids or Sexy for the adults. Play for the small chocolate hearts or chocolate coins.
Twister. played an age-appropriate version.
Poker (chocolate coins are perfect here, and colour stickers from the dollar store for denominations). Adult, well, see the movie “2 Weeks Notice.”
Scrabble: Reduce the words on the board to words of love and desire. Age appropriate. More Popcorn and Chocolate!
